Replace missing teeth

All on 4 Dental Implants

Replace missing teeth with Teeth In A Day

What are all-on-4 dental implants?

As the name suggests, all-on-4 dental implants uses just 4 dental implants to replace a complete set of teeth to either the upper or lower jaw. They are a good option if you are missing many teeth, have no teeth at all or if many of your teeth are rotting or loose.

Sometimes referred to as “Teeth In A Day”, “Same Day Teeth” or “Smile In A Day,” all-on-4 dental implants replace a full arch of teeth in just one day.

Rather than having many individual dental implants, 4 dental implants are placed strategically to either your upper or lower jaw which then then supports a full arch of natural looking new teeth.

Just like an individual dental implant, all-on-4 dental implants means your new teeth will be permanently fixed to your gum. Your smile will look natural, you can speak normally and eat all your favourite foods.

What is the process for Teeth In A Day in West London?

Consultation

At your consultation, we will assess your teeth and gums. We will also take x-rays and scans of your jaw to check that you have sufficient quality bone in your jaw for the dental implants. As well as checking your oral health, we will also talk to you about your general health. We will need to understand whether you are a smoker, have any medical conditions or are taking any medicine as this may impact whether you are eligible for dental implant surgery. We will provide a detailed plan for you which will give information about the surgery, costs along with information about pre and post-surgery care.

Dental implant surgery

The dental implant surgery will take place at Askew Dental Care in Shepherd’s Bush.

We will give you a local anaesthetic which will numb your mouth. It is natural to fill nervous and if you are very anxious, we offer dental sedation which will keep you relaxed but awake.

If you have loose or failing teeth, we will gently extract them at this point.

Depending upon the type of dental implant that you are having, we will make a single or several incisions into your gum and gently place the dental implant into your jawbone. An abutment is placed on top of the implant and finally a temporary prosthetic tooth or dental bridge will be fitted so that you are not left with gaps in your mouth.

Healing process

Once the local anaesthetic has worn off, you may feel sore, but this is managed with paracetamol, and you can return to your usual routines in a day or two.

We leave a period of between 3 and 6 months for your dental implants to fuse with your jawbone. This process is known as osseointegration and is essential for the success of your dental implants.

During this time, we will be busy creating your final set of false teeth which are unique to you. They will be colour-matched to any remaining teeth that you have or to your specification.

Fitting of your final restoration

Once we are satisfied that osseointegration has occurred and that your dental implants have been a success, we will invite you back to the dental surgery to fit your bespoke set of false teeth.

We will discuss the ways that you should care and maintain for your new teeth, gums and oral health which will help ensure the longevity of your dental implants.
